🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A group of teenagers in Millheim, Pennsylvania, reported seeing a bright object in the sky in August 1952. The object, described as yellow and about 20 times larger than the brightest object in the sky, remained stationary above the horizon for approximately 10 to 20 minutes. One of the teenagers stopped his car to get a better look, and the object slowly faded away. Another witness, an adult driving nearby, corroborated the description and added that the object moved in a straight line before disappearing sharply to the south. The weather was clear with no recorded meteorological phenomena that could explain the sighting. Although other possibilities such as aircraft or weather balloons were considered, no conventional explanation proved satisfactory.
