🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, an officer at Slugle Lake, Louisiana, reported an unusual aerial sighting. While looking up, he observed two luminous objects that appeared and disappeared unexpectedly. One moved slowly, while the other performed complex maneuvers. The witness described white, red, and green lights that blinked and moved in unpredictable patterns. No engine noise or vapor trails were heard or seen, which created confusion about the nature of the objects. The observation lasted several minutes and was officially recorded, although no commercial or military flights were found in the area at that time.
The official report included details about the witness's exact location, the time, and weather conditions. Despite analyzing other aerial records, no matches were found with what was observed. The witness, an army officer, stated that the objects did not show characteristics of conventional aircraft and their behavior could not be explained by known natural phenomena. The detailed description of the movements and colors of the objects, along with the absence of noise, made this case one of the most intriguing of the time.
