🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, an observer in Sonoma, California reported the presence of five silver-colored objects that appeared in the sky at different times during the day. The objects were seen from the ground and made no sound, which generated curiosity and confusion. Each sighting lasted about 10 seconds, and the objects moved at high speed, though without changes in direction or size. Two of them were very high up and three at a considerable altitude, but none were identified as balloons or aircraft. The observer, together with another person, confirmed that the objects had a round, slightly concave shape and did not appear to be optical illusions or reflections. Despite detailed descriptions, the nature of the objects remained unresolved.
The information recorded in the report includes precise data on location, time, and object characteristics. The observer, a 59-year-old woman, worked as a civilian observer in the air defense system and described clearly what she saw. There was no noise, nor changes in speed or direction of the objects. Although she initially thought of "flying saucers," she could not rule out other possibilities. The description of the objects as solid and moving in a straight line until disappearing into the clouds adds mystery to the case. The official report did not reach a definitive conclusion, making it an interesting document for the study of UFO sightings from that era.
