🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, a 16-year-old in Richmond, California, observed a round, glowing object moving slowly across the sky. The witness, Will Gary Wayne, described it as orange in color, dime-sized, and visible for about 30 seconds. Although he initially thought it might be a weather balloon, authorities considered it as such due to nearby military bases. The report includes details like the object's estimated altitude (15,000 feet) and its westward direction. The sighting was corroborated by calls from nearby areas, suggesting a collective observation. Despite the lack of photos or radar, the case was classified as a probable balloon.
