🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, in Hillsborough, California, an unusual UFO sighting was recorded. Two witnesses reported seeing silver-gray objects shaped like a cross-section of a cone. The objects appeared suddenly, stopping and starting intermittently. Each was between 159 and 293 feet in diameter and moving southeast at an estimated speed of 1399 miles per hour. No sound was heard, and they disappeared by fading away. The observation lasted about one minute and was made from the ground, with unlimited visibility.
The observers were at approximately 502 feet elevation, while the objects were flying at 12,992 feet. The report mentions some air traffic in the general area, but no direct connection to the objects was reported. This case was classified under project 10073 and sent to several Air Force intelligence units. Despite the clear description, the number of observers remains unknown, and the name of one of the witnesses, a woman, is partially obscured.
