🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, a Manhattan pharmacist observed a round, white object for one hour. The witness, Martin Jerald, saw it from a Ground Observer Corps post using binoculars. The object remained stationary and emitted red and blue flashes. Despite an interceptor being scrambled, nothing was found. The report notes that the object showed no movement and made no sound, creating confusion among investigators.
The witness described the object as round, bright, and silent. Although balloons or aircraft were considered, no definitive explanation emerged. The case was carefully documented, including weather data and timing, but no conclusive answer was reached. This document reflects the uncertainty surrounding many sightings of the time, when UFO studies were just beginning.
