In August 1952, an unidentified object was detected by radar in Marrakech, French Morocco. The report details that the object was observed at a speed of 1157 mph and an altitude above 10,000 feet. Three observers confirmed the sighting of the object through a telescope connected to the radar. Despite the visual observations, no photographs were taken and the possibility of a radar equipment malfunction was considered. The object made a turn to the north and descended until radar contact was lost at around 20,000 feet. Reports from the time found no matches with known aircraft in the area.
