Summary

In September 1952, a civilian in Morristown, Tennessee, observed an unidentified flying object shaped like a delta wing. The witness, sitting on his porch, saw the object moving slowly from north to south, maintaining a steady course for about an hour. He described it as blue to red in color, with a faint glow that didn't seem to reflect city lights. Although he couldn't determine its exact size, he estimated it might be 250 feet wide and 100 feet deep, flying at around 2000 feet. The observer ruled out the possibility of it being a conventional aircraft, a meteor, or a flock of birds, adding mystery to the event.

The official Air Force report found no physical evidence or confirmation from other witnesses, and concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation. However, the civilian's detailed testimony and sketch suggest a clear experience. The object made no sound, making it even more unusual. Despite clear skies and no clouds, the observer couldn't see the object clearly at any point. Like many cases from that era, this one was filed without a conclusive explanation, leaving open questions about its nature.
