🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1952, an observer in Sacramento, California, reported a dark, disc-shaped object moving at high speed. The report, part of Project 10073, describes a brief but clear sighting. The witness, Irene Carlson, saw the object from a building using binoculars, three miles away, and described it as dark and silent. A twin-engine plane crossed its path shortly before, causing some confusion in the evaluation of the case.
Although the report did not reach definitive conclusions, researchers considered the possibility that it was a balloon or an astronomical phenomenon. However, the object's description and behavior did not easily fit into any of those categories. The sighting was officially recorded and shared with several air intelligence units, but no conventional explanation was found. This case remains one of the many unresolved mysteries in UFO history.
