🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1952, a military police soldier in Killeen, Texas, observed a saucer-shaped object with a green fluorescent appearance and two red flames protruding from the rear. The object was described as about 10 feet in diameter and was seen moving at an estimated speed of 700-800 mph. The witness, who had no experience in astronomy or aircraft observation, reported seeing it for 2-3 seconds before it disappeared. Although the report mentions the possibility of a balloon, no clear explanation was found. The description and sketch provided by the witness suggest an unusual sighting.
The case was reported by Philip S. Sader, part of military intelligence, and later shared with various army and air force units. Despite multiple copies of the report and distribution to different offices, no definitive conclusion was reached about the object's nature. The soldier's testimony, though considered somewhat unreliable by some, remains an intriguing piece of UFO history from that era.
