🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1952, thousands of people in Morocco and Tangier observed a luminous object crossing the sky from east to west. It was described as a bright disc, an arrow, or a cone trailing a bright green cloud. Witnesses reported that the object made no noise and moved at high speed, leaving a visible trail for several minutes. A pilot even saw it up close, describing it as a blue-green flame with a cigar-like shape. Although some considered it a meteor, others suggested it could be an unidentified object. Military authorities also investigated, but no definitive conclusion was reached.
Testimonies included farm workers, boxing match spectators, and ground mechanics, all agreeing on the time and direction of the sighting. Despite multiple descriptions, there was no consensus on the object's nature. Some considered it an astronomical phenomenon, others a non-conventional aircraft, but most described it as completely unknown. This case became one of the most documented UFO sightings in the region, with reports from at least six different cities.
