🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1952, while the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt was at sea, an unidentified aerial phenomenon was observed. Although no clear photographs or conclusive data were obtained, the report reflects the uncertainty and interest of the time regarding UFO sightings. This document, though brief, is part of a series of military records that show how such reports were handled during the Cold War.
The interpretation of the document has been subject to later analysis, especially due to errors in image-to-text conversion. A horizontal line in the original image was misinterpreted as underscores, which caused confusion in reading the text. This case illustrates the technical difficulties of digitization and the importance of carefully reviewing historical files to avoid misinterpretation.
