In October 1952, a civilian woman in East Moline, Illinois, reported seeing an object shaped like a hatbox with an inverted saucer on top. This account was recorded by military authorities and included in the records of Project 10073. The observer described the object in detail, mentioning what appeared to be portholes around its sides.
