🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1952, an observer in Macon reported an unusual aerial phenomenon: a star-shaped yellow light that remained fixed in the sky for 45 minutes. The report, part of Project 10073, notes that the object was seen from a local radio station and its behavior did not match known weather balloons or aircraft. Despite alternative theories, the origin of the phenomenon could not be identified.
The nature of the object generated several hypotheses, ranging from astronomical explanations to the possibility of an unknown device. The report concludes with the label "Hnkeown," suggesting the object's identity remained unresolved. This case, like many from the era, reflects the confusion and mystery surrounding UFO sightings in the 1950s, a time of significant air activity and technological advancement.
