Summary

In October 1952, a C-50 crew reported a luminous object over the Pacific. The object appeared as a yellow circle with a reddish glow around it. It was moving at high speed toward Hawaii, and observers estimated its speed between 300 and 400 knots. The sighting lasted 20 seconds, with no trail or sound. Despite initial suspicions, it was not identified as a balloon or aircraft.

The crew consisted of two members, including the co-pilot and engineer. The plane was flying at 9000 feet with unlimited visibility. Although other possibilities like an astronomical object were considered, the object's sudden movement made it an intriguing case for researchers at the time.
