🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1952, multiple witnesses in Selma, Alabama, observed a bright object leaving a luminous trail in the sky. The classified report notes that civilian observers saw the phenomenon for several minutes, and although a high-flying aircraft was considered, no sound was heard. Some witnesses attributed the brightness to sunlight reflection, while others believed the object generated its own light. The duration and shape of the trail, along with the absence of noise, raised doubts about conventional explanations.
The description of the event includes details such as the estimated altitude of the object (between 10,000 and 15,000 feet), its straight-line movement, and the way it gradually disappeared. Although a high-speed aircraft was investigated, no conclusive evidence was found. The report, part of Project 10073, reflects the uncertainty of the investigators and the need to consider unconventional explanations for unexplained aerial phenomena.
