🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1952, two U.S. airmen in Erding, Germany, reported a sighting of a silver-colored object moving at high speed. The object, observed for about 20 seconds, made no sound and appeared to glide without wings or propellers. It was estimated to travel at around 400 mph, faster than any known aircraft at the time. Despite favorable weather and no air traffic in the area, the object remained unidentified.
The witnesses described it as round and silhouetted against clouds, making it hard to determine its exact color. The official report labeled it "unknown," considering a balloon but noting that its movement and appearance didn't match conventional objects. This case is part of a broader set of UFO reports from the era that sparked debate without ever confirming the object's true nature.
