🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Redwing, Wisconsin reported in 1952 seeing a white, arc-shaped object that blinked and disappeared suddenly. The sighting lasted between 20 and 30 minutes, which was notable for its duration and behavior. Although the possibility of a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon was considered, the data was insufficient for a definitive evaluation. The observation was recorded in a classified report and analyzed by Air Force intelligence officers.
The description and behavior of the object initially suggested it could be an astronomical phenomenon, such as a bright star. However, the lack of photographs or additional data limited the researchers' ability to determine its nature with certainty. The report was shared with several Air Force units, including the Air Technical Intelligence Center, as part of efforts to document and analyze unidentified sightings. Despite being considered low priority, the case remained under review in case further details emerged.
