🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1952, a brilliant blue-white object was observed near Tanana, Alaska. Witnesses, including a dog team driver and several locals, reported seeing a light descending at low altitude and high speed. Authorities evaluated it as a meteor, though weather balloons were also considered. This case was part of a series of sightings in the region that generated interest at the time.
The report, originally classified, was downgraded after three years and declassified after twelve. Although no conclusive evidence of an unidentified object was found, the local testimony and description of the phenomenon generated speculation. The Tanana Air Base and other military units conducted searches without success. This document is part of the Project 10073 records, an effort to investigate reports of unidentified flying objects.
