🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1952, a security inspector in Los Alamos, New Mexico, sighted a round, luminous red object. Described as a tennis ball wrapped in a handkerchief, it left a trail of sparks and moved faster than any known jet. The observer noted a crackling sound trailing the object. Despite the detailed account, there was no radar contact or other witnesses, leading investigators to consider a meteor. The report concluded it was likely an astronomical phenomenon.
