🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1952, an object was observed from an air base in southern Japan. It was described as star-like, yellow in color, and intermittently turning orange. It appeared near the horizon and moved southward before disappearing. Despite observers attempting to detect it with radar, there was no success. The weather conditions were excellent, ruling out possible interferences. The description and behavior of the object caused some confusion, as it did not match the expected behavior of a celestial body.
The discussion of the incident highlighted several factors. First, the object's "star-like" appearance. Second, it appeared and disappeared in the same direction, suggesting it might be a star setting. The color change was attributed to refraction over long distances. Despite detailed observations and multiple testimonies, the official conclusion was that the phenomenon was likely astronomical. However, the erratic behavior of the object and the lack of radar confirmation left questions unanswered.
