In December 1952, a member of the Ground Observer Corps in Newcastle, Indiana, reported seeing an unusual object. It was described as a long, narrow, silver object with a black trail, traveling at high speed before disappearing downward in small circular movements. The report notes that the observer heard no sound and no photos were taken. Despite the detailed description, investigators concluded the information was too sketchy to form a clear conclusion.
The official report states the object was observed for about six minutes, but no precise data on altitude or trajectory was recorded. Although the observer is part of the Ground Observer Corps, the object could not be identified as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. The lack of concrete data and the incomplete nature of the report made any definitive interpretation difficult.
