🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1952, a witness at Olmsted AFB, Pennsylvania, reported a blue, watermelon-shaped unidentified flying object. The observer, a civilian guard, saw it for three minutes and described a light brown ring around the object. Although a balloon was considered, the object's unusual appearance and speed raised doubts. The report includes sketches showing the object's path and shape. The detailed description and extraordinary speed suggest it was not a conventional aircraft or astronomical phenomenon.
The testimony includes a repeated phrase "I was going to the car," possibly an OCR error, but the rest of the report is coherent. The object was moving faster than any known airplane, and its physical description and behavior make it an intriguing case in declassified UFO files.
