🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1952, an observer in San Francisco reported seeing an object the size of a B-36 bomber, bright red in color, and elongated in shape. The object was traveling at an estimated speed of 1588 miles per hour and made no sound, which raised attention due to its unusual silence and speed. The report, originally classified by the U.S. Air Force, notes that the object was visually observed by a crowd and from a ground control post. Although no physical traces or conventional explanations were recorded, the case was filed without resolution.
The document was distributed to several air intelligence units, including centers in California, Colorado, and Ohio, for analysis. Despite the initial classification, the report was downgraded annually and finally declassified after 12 years. Today, this case is part of the historical archives that document numerous UFO sightings during the 1950s.
