🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1953, near Craig, Montana, several witnesses observed an unidentified aerial object. They described a craft between 25 and 40 feet long, shaped like two soup bowls joined together. The object appeared at low altitude, approached slowly, and then rapidly ascended before disappearing. Witnesses, including a 9-year-old girl who drew the object, provided consistent descriptions. The estimated speed was 3600 mph, generating significant interest. Despite the witnesses' reliability, the official conclusion was that the object remained unidentified.
The craft had illuminated windows and a reddish glow on the bottom. Observers were in a car when the object appeared about 100 yards away. The detailed and consistent accounts from multiple witnesses add credibility to the report. However, the lack of physical evidence or photographs made a definitive identification difficult. The case remains one of the unresolved mysteries of Project Blue Book.
