🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1953, over 60 individuals at Larson Air Force Base in Washington observed an unidentified object described as a green disk the size of a weather balloon. The object was seen for 15 minutes, moving southwest at an approximate altitude of 8,000 feet. Despite consistent eyewitness accounts, there was no sound or radar activity detected. An F-94 jet was dispatched to search for the object but returned empty-handed. Wind reports indicated the object was moving against the prevailing wind direction, adding to the mystery.
The official investigation concluded the object was unknown, with no conventional explanations like balloons or aircraft. The absence of radar tracks and the large number of reliable witnesses, including high-ranking officers, made this case particularly intriguing. Although no photos or physical evidence were found, the collective testimony and weather conditions contributed to a report that remained classified for years.
