🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On February 4, 1953, Captain Robert S. Gleason observed two white objects flying at high speed over Maxwell AFB in Alabama. The first object appeared at high altitude, moved westward, and disappeared over the horizon. About a minute later, a second object followed the same path. Both objects were silent and emitted a white glow. Observers, including Captain Gleason and other officers, confirmed the sky was clear with unlimited visibility. Each object was seen for about 15 seconds. The official evaluation concluded the sightings were meteors, though the detailed and consistent description raises some curiosity about their nature.
No physical evidence or photographs were left, limiting further analysis. However, the detailed account and confirmation by multiple witnesses add credibility to the experience. Despite the astronomical explanation, the description of the objects as "larger than a star" and their specific behavior remain intriguing.
