🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1953, two state police officers and other witnesses in Corbin, Kentucky, saw a red, pulsating, flame-like glowing ball. The object was observed for 20 minutes, moving slowly south and then west. No sound, exhaust, or propulsion was noted. Despite favorable weather conditions, no physical evidence was found. The official conclusion was that there was insufficient data for evaluation. Some researchers suggest it could have been a balloon, but the reported characteristics make an aircraft a more likely explanation.
