Blue white object seen in Laurel Montana

Summary

A civilian observer in Laurel, Montana, spotted a round object with a blue and white color moving slowly westward. The object, larger than a star and occasionally twinkling, was seen at an estimated altitude of 3,086 feet and remained visible for several minutes. The observer, a former Air Force officer, confirmed it was not an aircraft and noted no sound or exhaust.

The report was sent to the Billings filter center but deemed insufficient for an official flight report. Another witness, Al Grater, also saw it from a two-story building, allowing for a longer observation. Despite efforts, no photographs were taken and no physical evidence was found. The Air Force concluded there were no meteorological factors to explain the sighting.
