Red object over Patrick AFB

Summary

A witness reported a red object, larger than Mars, moving in a zigzag and pulsating motion. The object disappeared into overcast clouds and made no sound. The sighting occurred near the theater at Patrick AFB on February 11, 1953, at 20:00 hours. The weather was overcast with clouds moving north. The sighting lasted one minute and no interception action was taken. This report was classified and sent to various Air Force intelligence units.
