🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1953 report describes a sighting of three bright lights over Carswell AFB, Texas. A civilian observed them at 2:35 AM on February 13, when they appeared in a vertical formation and then performed unusual maneuvers, such as sudden acceleration and disappearance. Witnesses noted the lights had distinct colors, with the center one white and the outer ones greenish. The observation lasted between 10 and 15 minutes.
Simultaneously, a radar technician detected two of the lights on the tail radar of a B-36, approximately 16,000 yards away. The report mentions radar "snow," but the lights were clearly distinguishable. Attempts to locate them with other radars were unsuccessful. The official analysis concluded they were likely ground targets due to a temperature inversion, though an F-86 aircraft was also considered. No photos or physical evidence were obtained.
