🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An elongated white object was sighted in Corry, Pennsylvania, on February 16, 1953. The witness described it as larger than a star, approximately four inches long, moving silently in a straight line without trail or exhaust. It disappeared behind a cloud. The observer, located four miles southwest of a redacted location, reported clear and cold weather. Although the positions of Jupiter and Venus were noted, the object was not conclusively identified with either.
The report, part of a series of sightings in the New York area, was deemed insufficient for a definitive conclusion. The object showed no identifiable aerodynamic features or propulsion system, and no sound or emissions were recorded. Despite the detailed description, the lack of additional data and partial redaction of sources hindered further evaluation. The document was classified and later declassified after 13 years, as part of a regular review process.
