🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1953, during the Korean War, a luminous object was reported to be traveling at supersonic speeds near Pork Chop Hill and Old Baldy in western Korea. This report, from military sources, mentions that the object was observed both visually and on radar, though no photographs were taken and no physical evidence was found. Estimated speeds ranged between 600 and 1800 miles per hour, causing some confusion due to the discrepancies in data.
The report did not reach a clear conclusion, as it was determined there was insufficient information for evaluation. It was also compared to another case in the Lake Superior area, where even higher speeds were reported. Despite subsequent investigations, no records of similar sightings were found in the military units consulted. The case remains a mystery, with open questions about the nature of the object and whether it could have been a high-speed combat aircraft or something more unusual.
