🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1953, a civilian observer in Elmira, New York, reported seeing six disc-shaped objects moving rapidly northward at high altitude. The sighting, provided by a CIC member, indicated that the objects were closely grouped and did not form a specific formation. Although the observation lasted only a few seconds, the witnesses used binoculars to see the objects directly overhead. Fighter jets were dispatched to investigate, but they failed to locate anything after orbiting the area for 20 minutes. The Air Force concluded the objects were unidentifiable and did not appear on radar. This case is part of the Project Blue Book archives, which collected reports on unidentified sightings.
