🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1953, an observer in Olean, New York, reported a red, round, spinning object moving very fast toward the south. The report noted that the object was seen for 29 minutes, which conflicts with the described speed. Despite scrambling a fighter jet to investigate, the object could not be identified. The report lacks additional data such as photographs or physical evidence, making a conclusive evaluation impossible. This case is one of several sightings in the region during that period, with observers describing unusual characteristics.
The report also includes other unidentified sightings, such as a cone-shaped object and a disc-shaped object, both without noise or visible emissions. Although some observers collaborated with amateur astronomers, no clear explanation emerged. The lack of precise data and the inability to confirm the sightings reflect the challenges the Air Force faced in evaluating these cases during the early UFO investigations.
