🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1953, a pilot from a commercial airline reported a luminous object near Goose AFB in Labrador. The sighting occurred 130 miles southwest of the airfield, approximately 500 feet off the right wing of the aircraft. The object remained alongside the plane for 3 to 4 seconds before rapidly accelerating and disappearing. According to the pilot, another moon-shaped object appeared directly in front of the first. Visibility was unlimited, but there was no radar contact or evidence of jet or rocket exhaust.
The officers responsible for the report concluded that there was insufficient data for a concrete evaluation. They considered the possibility of meteorological phenomena or optical reflections, but did not rule out the unknown nature of the object. The case was linked to another sighting reported on May 1, where an F-94 also observed an object moving at an unusual speed. Despite the pilots' attempts to make contact, no photographs or additional confirmations were obtained.
