In May 1953, a citizen of Florissant, Missouri, reported observing an unidentified object in the sky. According to the testimony, the object appeared around 10:00 PM on May 30, moving eastward in a straight trajectory. The witness described the object as white, the size of a star, and observed it for several seconds using his eight-power glasses. The object moved in surges with one-second intervals between each movement and finally vanished into the sky. The report was received by the Air Force Special Investigations District, which archived it without taking further action.
