Summary

In May 1953, a bright object was observed by at least eleven people in Darlington, Wisconsin. The object appeared low in the eastern sky and rose to an elevation of about 80 degrees before disappearing. It was reported to be moving extremely fast and lighting up the landscape. Although Venus was considered as a possibility, witnesses agreed it did not match any known astronomical body.

Beyond the United States, in Australia, a pilot and other observers reported a similar object maneuvering around a DC3 aircraft. The object did not emit vapor or sparks, and its speed varied between 200 and 700 miles per hour. Despite no other aircraft being in the area, the object remained visible for several minutes. These events, though isolated, caused confusion and debate among witnesses, who could not explain the nature of the phenomenon.
