🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1953, two civilian observers in Bethesda, Maryland, reported an oval-shaped object visible for an hour. The object made no sound or trail and appeared at a high altitude, reflecting sunlight with a bright surface. Its constant arc path and ability to disappear behind clouds and reappear puzzled witnesses. Although celestial bodies like stars or planets were ruled out due to brightness and speed, the object's shape and movement didn't match known objects.
The investigation concluded it might have been a weather balloon, though there were discrepancies in the launch time. A balloon was recorded in Silver Hill at 17:00, but the sighting occurred at 19:15. Wind patterns and the object's trajectory didn't fully align, leaving room for other explanations. Despite the most plausible theory, the case remains an enigma in the UFO database.
