🇺🇸 CIA
In December 1952, the CIA consulted the FCC to investigate whether there were unexplained radio signals linked to UFOs. Irving Weston from the FCC responded that there was no evidence of such signals. The commission only monitors frequencies that cause interference or are persistent, as its stations are assigned specific tasks and lack time for general spectrum scanning.
The FCC operated 12 monitoring stations, two in Alaska and one in Hawaii. These stations used PR-4 receivers but weren't equipped to detect high-frequency signals. If UFO-related signals existed, they weren't strong or persistent enough to be recorded. The collected data included frequencies and call signs, but no connections to unidentified aerial phenomena were found.
