🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1953, military and civilian personnel at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma reported an unidentified object. The object was white, round, and without exhaust trails, observed for about an hour. Seven photos were taken with a stereoscopic camera, though the images were not clear. Witnesses confirmed the object made no sound or movement and vanished suddenly. Despite favorable weather and no detected aerial activity, the report concluded it was not a weather balloon or conventional aircraft.
Witnesses, including civilian guards and air traffic controllers, described it as bright and varying in size from a coin to a car. The lack of radar and physical evidence added mystery. Though a weather balloon was considered, wind direction and descriptions ruled it out. The report was classified and sent to the Air Technical Intelligence Center for analysis, but no definitive conclusion was reached.
