🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1953, a medical technician at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas observed an unidentified object while having lunch. The witness, who was on the hospital ramp, heard the noise of two aircraft and, upon looking up, saw a circular object in the sky. Initially appearing to be about 1.5 inches in diameter, the object was descending rapidly in a northwest to southeast direction. As it approached, it changed to an elliptical shape and displayed a silvery-white glow with a phosphorescent sheen. The object made no noise or smoke, and its speed was so fast it was compared to a falling star. After a few seconds, it ascended again and disappeared behind hospital buildings.
Several witnesses confirmed the sighting, including other medical personnel who agreed on the details. The object's unusual appearance and behavior raised questions about its nature. Despite investigations, no conventional explanations or physical evidence were found. The report concluded that there was no evidence the object was an aircraft or a known natural phenomenon.
