Summary

In July 1953, an air intelligence report documented the detection of three unidentified flying objects (UFOs) over Nebraska. Operators of the RAWIN system, a meteorological radar tool, observed three signals that did not correspond to precipitation or known aircraft. The data indicated that one of the objects was at an altitude of around 45,000 feet and was moving at speeds matching air currents. This suggested the object might be falling or drifting with the wind. Despite efforts by air surveillance units, the object could not be identified or photographed. The report concluded there were no conventional meteorological or aerial explanations for the phenomenon.

The event was accurately recorded using radar, including angles, distances, and speeds. However, there was no physical evidence or confirmed visual sightings. The experienced RAWIN crew confirmed the signals were not from rain. Despite this, the object could not be located by other air units. The report was classified and later declassified, allowing UFO researchers to analyze the data. This case remains an unsolved mystery, added to the archive of unexplained phenomena from the past.
