Summary

In August 1953, a witness in Satsuma, Alabama, reported an unidentified flying object that appeared as a bright reddish glow. The object was moving at high speed toward the south, parallel to Highway 43, and was observed for about three seconds. No sounds were heard and no aircraft were seen in the area. Although initially considered a meteor, witnesses agreed its speed far exceeded that of any known jet aircraft. The object was described with a curved edge and an amber glow at the rear. Despite multiple investigations, no physical evidence was found and the object was never intercepted.
