🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1953, several observers in Ventura, California, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon. A group of fishermen observed a white light moving erratically in the sky, first northward, then southward, tracing a 90-degree arc. The light stopped near the Gemini constellation and emitted a second red light. Witnesses noted no sound, despite commercial aircraft flying nearby. The light disappeared suddenly, raising questions about its origin. An Air Force officer also recorded a yellowish light crossing in front of an F-94C, though no direct connection was confirmed.
The official investigation concluded the lights could have been from an F-94C, but observers dismissed this due to the lack of sound and unusual speed. Despite multiple sightings and detailed descriptions, the case remains unresolved, adding mystery to this mid-20th century aerial event.
