🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1953, an officer in Bermuda observed a strange phenomenon while driving. He saw the sun reflecting off a silver cylindrical object that appeared to be burning. The observer estimated the object's altitude to be between 30 and 100 feet. As he watched, the object moved laterally before disappearing. The observation lasted between 5 and 7 minutes, though the report mentions "cigarettes," suggesting an informal time measurement. Despite the sighting, no physical evidence or photographs were obtained. Investigators considered the possibility of a solar reflection or mirage, but lacked enough data for a conclusive evaluation.
