🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A bright, silver-colored object was observed on the night of September 3, 1953, at Jones Beach, New York. Civilian witnesses reported a dirigible-shaped object moving through a dark, foggy sky with limited visibility. The object was first seen traveling east for five seconds and then reappeared minutes later moving west for twenty to thirty seconds. Due to weather conditions and nearby air traffic, investigators considered the possibility of a light reflected off clouds or the rotating beacon atop a nearby tower. Although no physical evidence was found, the detailed description and unique conditions of the sighting sparked further interest in the case.
