🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1953, a witness in Grants Pass, Oregon, observed an unusual luminous object. At 1:30 AM, they saw a bright light moving rapidly, zigzagging and pausing, with movements that suggested intentionality. The light resembled a car headlight but looked more like a flare, making circles before disappearing. The report notes that the object's path placed it near the Oregon Vortex, a well-known magnetic anomaly.
The report was submitted by an army officer and coincided with observations from Maryland. Although no radar contact was established, the object's speed and maneuverability were described as exceeding any known aircraft. The detailed description and proximity to a magnetic fault add intrigue to this case.
