In September 1953, a civilian in Atherton, California, reported observing an object resembling a balloon or blimp at high altitude. The object was seen for over four hours, appearing to remain static at around 30,000 feet. It was moving westward and was sighted at approximately 60 degrees above the horizon. Although intermittently obscured by clouds, the witness described it clearly. Later investigations revealed that three Project Holy Link balloons were in the area at the time, leading to the conclusion that the object was likely one of them.
