🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1953, a silver and gold circular object was observed for 30 minutes over Yakima, Washington. Witnesses included aircrew and control tower operators. The object remained stationary at an approximate altitude of 25,000 feet. Although no photos were taken, detailed descriptions and multiple sightings led to a thorough evaluation.
The official conclusion pointed to a cloud formation reflecting sunlight. A fighter pilot reported a cloud in the same position and direction as the observed object, leading to the belief it was a meteorological phenomenon. However, the coincidence of multiple witnesses and the precise description of the object keep some mystery around the case.
